Masquerade
Everyone wears a mask, no one knows who is who. Its a ball. We dance. We laugh. We joke ... and we lie. Welcome to the real world. Masquerade reveals the true nature of deception in an RPG. When our identity is concealed, hidden behind a mask, we have the opportunity to live a lie. And so lies converse, and everything is distorted into a false reality. Can you decipher the truth?
The near future...
People looked upon it as powerful and mighty. The earth would be covered with cities and small communities, everyone would live peacefully. Others feared that the destruction of wildlife would also cause the destruction of humanity. These were the people to watch in fear as habitats and forests were burned and obliterated. They fought against the will of many people who supported the construction of more cities and towns, and many thought the outcome would result in their failure.
Now...
The distant past implies that the two groups of people separated, and waged a social war. New cities would be under attack from supporters of nature while villages were toppled by modern day trucks and construction equipment. While one part of the world still remains green, the other is trashed with the garbage piled up by those who remain in the cities. The focus is moved on towards a small village in the middle of this massive forest, there are others who moved in from the city and built a massive building, hidden by the depths of the forest.
The wolves...
They had managed to avoid death by humans for the most part, but were forced to retreat into the thick of the woods. Formerly having a fear of humans, they came to accept the villagers as friends and allies and some wolves even came to stay and live as 'pets' for families. While the wolves became used to the villagers, the scientists that had moved in from the cities set traps and played impostor with the wolves. Wolves that were to trusting were tranquilized by the humans and caged at the building in which they resided. Others were the unlucky ones, and were trapped. Yet because the residence for these scientists is so hidden, there are only rumors of their existence and non-believers are surprised to death when they are trapped ... literally.
Just finished- so RP is open, the only thing that needs done is getting some pics up and making a banner.
